The Great East Swim was held at Alton Water Reservoir on Saturday 26 September and was the final leg of a series of four Great Swims across the UK, including in Lake Windermere, Glasgow and London. 1500 swimmers completed the one mile open water event including elite swimmers and Olympic hopefuls.
Two Olympic swimmers,Keri-Anne Payne and David Carry, visited the Royal Hospital School on Friday 25 September to speak to the swimming squad about their experiences and hold a practical session in the pool.
