The Royal Hospital School is a leading independent full boarding and day school for girls and boys aged 11 to 18 years. Founded in 1712 in Greenwich, it moved to its present site set in 200 acres of Suffolk countryside in 1933. There are 400 boys and 280 girls, 227 pupils in the sixth form and a total of 600 full boarders. Twelve Year 7 pupils conducted a Harvest Thanksgiving Service on Sunday 4th October after just 4 weeks at School.
Velvet Stratford-Wright, 18, has been awarded the Anna Airy Award for best artist and £200 for her work in an exhibition by the Ipswich Art Society Executive Committee on Saturday 3rd October.
